Adventure Comics # 163, April, 1951

The Superboy stories have slowly begun to resemble the more modern version of the character. Meanwhile, Buzzy continues to resemble Archie.

The Frazetta SHINING KNIGHT tales have recently turned up on another site so here's this issue's JOHNNY QUICK tale, a slightly surreal outing with solid storytelling from Ralph Mayo.

Adventure Comics # 162, March, 1951

Adventure Comics # 161, February, 1951

GCD says this issue marked the first appearance of Lana Lang in ADVENTURE. From that wording, I presume she had already appeared in the still-recently launched SUPERBOY title.

Knight, yes. Aquaman, no.

A great and bizarre PSA teaming up GA, Sir Justin and, anachronistically, Tomahawk.
