1950 was not the best of years for comics. DC, as we've pointed out numerous times, was floundering around looking for a new trend. Many other publishers were equally clueless. Imagine, though, the ten year old who picked up this issue of ADVENTURE. This period featured fun stories and solid art on some good--if not spectacular--characters. All of that and then at least every other month for a while you get Frank Frazetta! Wow.
